Veda has spoken around the U.S. on video game-related conversations spanning from the law to her journey into the games industry, including several talks at the Game Developers Conference and the Video Game Bar Association.
Besides teaching her Video Game Law & Business 101 class to graduates and undergraduates at the University of Miami, Veda has also spoken at several educational institutions about both video game law and her journey from law student to video game lawyer, including at Chapman University's Hispanic Law Student Association, the North Carolina Central University Intellectual Property Society, the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law (including at the IDEA Annual Symposium), UC Law San Francisco's Digital Media and Video Game Conference, the Centre for Business Law at UBC, and many times at her 3x alma mater, the University of Miami.
Veda also regularly speaks about various video game-related topics ranging from intellectual property do' and don't's to her day-to-day life as in-house counsel for a triple AAA game studio, including being a panelist speaker at the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Global Technology Patent Network Summit, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and also a guest on podcasts such as Washingtech's Tech Policy Leaders, Break the Business, FireDEV, and the Great Gretsuki Studios #CreativeQueens series.
Since 2019, she has hosted charity streams for Extra Life, a charity fundraising program of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals where streamers marathon games for 12-24 hours of raising money for children in hospitals. Most notably, she was the main host on Gearbox Entertainment's Extra Life Game Day Stream in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
She has judged several competitions including the Counseling Creators Negotiation Competition hosted by the University of Miami School of Law and the SkillsUSA Game Design Competition.
She was also selected as a 2022 Trailblazer in the IP industry by the World Intellectual Property Review.
